Well, this month has been very interesting in a sort of bittersweet way. I got fired from my job and about four days after I managed to get back into the place I was in before and now I am back at minimum wage...Wow. Talk about a dramatic change. Not to mention the horrid timing with me starting back at college on Monday. Glad I was smart about it and only chose one class. I wouldn't be able to afford it if I had enrolled in more! On top of that, I am getting ready to move into an apartment with a friend of mine at the end of the month. Lots of work.

*sigh* My new/old job and moving to an apartment is taking up most of my time so my art and my writing have taken a big blow. I haven't really had time to draw or even write anything, much less ink the comic pages I have finished. I am very tired. I'm sorry everyone, but I think I will have to go back to the 'submit when possible' plan. Just keep an eye out for new stuff and when you see it, please comment. Comments are always appreciated, even if they don't really say anything.

Overall, I liked it. The dark humor is what captured me. It would be easy to continue the story to further drive home the fact that there are monsters everywhere. I did think that the ending was very lighthearted, though. You could have made it so that Limon smiling and picking up a knife or something and says, "All that may be true, but you see, monsters are everywhere. And I am one of them!" Then cutoff with Limon approaching David and David's last thoughts. You know, play up the drama.

That would be an excellent way to close the piece, if it was to be a stand-alone affair.

Wolvirs spoke to me about wanting to extrude it into a much larger story later though, so I didn't want to close any doors.

You'd be able to even with this ending. Just insert a chapter with his comrades realizing something is wrong and starting to search. Then cut back to David waking up after being tortured, you know, losing a couple of fingers here, a couple of nails there. Then cut back to the comrades as Limon is coming in for another round. Slow death is the key here. The comrades pick up the trail. Then, to add to the drama to make the readers scream "NOOOO!!! HE'S GONNA DIE BEFORE THEY GET THERE!!!", have them wreck on the winding path. A couple of them are injured. Switch back to Limon and David having a conversation about Limon's abusive father. David's last attempt to buy time, etc. Stuff like that. I could go on, but I'm sure you and Wolvirs can fill in the details and ending.
